The Topography of Terror is a free exhibition about the police and state terror which took place during the Nazi regime in Germany. Between the years 1933 and 1945 the building of the museum was used as the Gestapo and SS headquarters. It was a Secret State Police Office with an in-house prison.
The Topography of Terror has outdoor and indoor displays, as well as permanent and rotating exhibitions. You can also find remains of the Berlin Wall nearby.
