Marvel at the architecture at the Museumsinsel (Museum Island)
Five museums can be found on the museums island, the Bodemuseum, Neues Museum, Altes Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie and Pergamonmuseum.
The name Museumsinsel is based on the fact that the museums are all located on an island situated in the Spree river. The collective of the museums has been named a Unesco World Heritage Site.
To enter the museums, you will have to pay an entrance fee. However, admiring the magnificent architecture won’t cost you anything and you can stroll along the river afterwards.
